ECSA Chemicals and its subsidiary ECSA Italia, companies of the ECSA Group, have renewed their FAMI-QS certification, the international standard dedicated to the safety and quality of Specialty Feed Ingredients, confirming their commitment to the responsible and controlled management of activities related to the animal feed supply chain.

The FAMI-QS certification covers the Feed Safety and Quality Management System and defines specific requirements to ensure that activities are managed according to structured criteria for safety, quality, risk prevention and continuous improvement. The system integrates Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP+) and HACCP principles with an approach based on identification and traceability throughout processes and the supply chain.

The FAMI-QS Code of Practice includes the key elements of Food/Feed Defence and Feed/Food Fraud prevention, aimed at assessing supply chain vulnerabilities and potential threats to product integrity. The Quality Management System is thus further strengthened in terms of traceability and supplier qualification, with the aim of reducing the possibility of unsafe ingredients entering the food chain.

For ECSA Chemicals, the renewal therefore represents not only the maintenance of a certification, but also the continuity of its Quality Management System, focused on process control, regulatory compliance, and the safety and integrity of the supply chain, in order to protect product quality and maintain the trust of its customers.

The new certifications are valid until August 2029.
